A F Kersting was a celebrated architectural and landscape photographer, and a prime feature of this project is to showcase some of his exemplary work, taken for the most part during the latter half of the 20th century.

The project pages are by town or geographical area, with the Kersting images to the left, and my contemporary images to the right. My images mostly originate as colour, either digital or film in origin. On some pictures I use software to selectively reduce the colour, so as to place some emphasis on perhaps a building, which was  in black & white in the Kersting photograph.

More details about Anthony Kersting are on the "About Anthony Kersting" page, including how his entire archive of monochrome photographs & negatives were donated to the Courtauld, and how a part of the Courtauld Connects programme is digitising them for conservation and bringing them into the public domain.

(I'm adding places and regions on a continuing basis - please return periodically, and I'm now writing a blog page to talk about where I'm currently at with the project).
